“The future is textile.” Ingeborg Neumann, president of the general association of the German textile and fashion industry, emphasised this on the Foreign Trade Day organised by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs in cooperation with the general association which took place on 03 March in Berlin. Representatives of companies, associations, administration and politics discussed the opportunities and risks on international target markets of the textile and fashion industry in discussion groups and practice workshops. 

“Latin America - growth region with opportunities and challenges”. For this workshop, Mr Hendrik Schabsky, managing partner of ATLAS®, was invited as a guest speaker. 

The general market potential as well as individual entrepreneurial challenges were critically examined. In this context, Mr Schabsky related the success story of ATLAS®-Brasil from its establishment in 2005 until today and the strength of Brazil as a production site. By now, ATLAS® has 1,250 employees at the Brazilian production facilities.
