As part of Gutes Tun, a foundation of Sparkasse Unna-Kamen, we are committed to providing support where help is needed through the Christine Schabsky Foundation. Our mission: to turn benevolent ideas into real, effective projects - for the benefit of people, animals and the environment.
A strong signal for children in need
To mark the 30th anniversary of the RTL telethon organised by @rtlwirhelfenkindern, we contributed 3,000 euros to support projects that open up new prospects for young people and make difficult life situations a little brighter.
30 years. 30 hours
Germany's most traditional charity programme came to an end this year with many moving moments and a highly emotional conclusion. Together, an impressive 23,077,166 euros were raised: Funds that will flow into tested and effective projects of the "Stiftung RTL - Wir helfen Kindern e. V." foundation. These include initiatives in the areas of education, medical support, violence prevention and help for children living in poverty.
A special highlight of the marathon
Joey Kelly took on an extraordinary 24-hour birthday challenge. 20 company teams battled their way through a course ranging from bobby cars to bouncy castles. All to raise awareness and mobilise additional donations.
CHRISTINE SCHABSKY
Christine Schabsky was the third generation to run the family business atlas. After the sudden death of her husband, she took over the management of the company at the end of the 1970s. Her life was closely linked to Unna and Holzwickede. The regional focus of our foundation reflects precisely this deep sense of connection. Christine Schabsky's understanding of responsibility and charity is still evident today in the projects we support. With the foundation, we want to carry on her legacy: strengthening people and promoting community.
PROMOTION AREAS
Our areas of support are deliberately diverse: from youth and elderly care, health and education, science, culture, sport and religion to nature conservation and environmental protection. Because each of these areas contributes in its own way to strengthening our society and making the future possible. We believe that even small rays of hope can make a big difference. With our sponsorship, we want to support regional projects that encourage, create opportunities and support people in all situations.
