Our memberships
One of our many stakeholder groups comprises a pool of organisations committed to sustainability. We are active members of these organisations in order to network with other members, engage in dialogue, gain insights into best practice models and thereby promote sustainable improvements. Below is an overview of these organisations:
Leather Working Group
The Leather Working Group (LWG) is an international organisation that brings together companies and NGOs to promote social and environmental improvements in the leather industry. To ensure that our leather meets our sustainability standards, we work exclusively with nearby tanneries in the production of ATLAS Brasil uppers, which must be audited by the LWG and rated at least ‘Silver’.
cads e.V.
The association cads – Cooperation for Secure Defined Standards in Footwear and Leather Goods Products e.V. – promotes the manufacture of pollutant-free shoes and shoe components as well as environmentally friendly shoe production. To this end, it awards a quality label to shoes and leather goods whose quality is assured and conducts public relations work for the manufacture of sustainable products. We, too, are committed to innovative, responsible and sustainable ideas in shoe manufacturing and have therefore been a member of cads e.V. since 2022.
amfori BSCI
amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) is an international business association that promotes sustainable supply chains and fair working conditions. Members benefit from third-party audits, training courses and workshops to make their supply chains more transparent. Over 2,400 members from more than 40 countries generate a combined annual turnover of over €1.8 trillion. Thanks to our own production facilities, we already have a high level of transparency regarding working and production conditions. We have been a member of amfori BSCI since November 2023 in order to further improve the transparency of our supply chains.
