We say thank you! ATLAS at the A+A 2025

Individualisation, digitalisation, foot health: how ATLAS is shaping the PPE industry

Four days of exceptional conditions in Hall 13: ATLAS presented its latest product innovations, service offerings and expert panels on over 1,200 square metres. While the long-established Dortmund-based company had already impressed visitors with a new stand concept at the last trade fair, the 2025 presentation was developed even further. The spacious ATLAS Area invited visitors to discover interactive elements, while the expanded Expert Stage was a hit with renowned speakers. Numerous new products found their place in the open stand design, including, of course, footwear innovations.

ATLAS CEO Hendrik Schabsky (31) was highly satisfied: "It is always something very special to bring our global team together and welcome our international audience. We sell our 450 shoe models in over twenty countries. With over one hundred employees on site, we use A+A as a hub for the world of occupational safety to present our new footwear ranges and B2B service solutions. This year, three megatopics will take centre stage: Holistic foot health, individualisation and digitalisation in the safety footwear sector - this is where we see the future."

NEW: MAX Series

With the new MAX Series, ATLAS presented the new product highlight of the year. The series stands for what the name promises: maximum safety, maximum lightness and maximum performance. Developed for heavy-duty use in construction, industry and the chemical industry, it combines the highest S7 protection standards with modern wearer comfort. The new ProTraX® upper material is twice as breathable as leather, but significantly lighter, extremely robust and easy to care for. The XRMPU® sole technology with anti-slip tread and low weight ensures optimum grip and stability. The concept is complemented by XP® metal-free penetration resistance, ESD equipment and a steel toe cap.

The MAX Series comprises five models - including two variants with a side BOA® Fit System, a low shoe and two ankle-high lace-ups - and can therefore fulfil all personal preferences in terms of fit and handling. Thanks to the quick-drying materials and uncomplicated care, the series offers the perfect solution for anyone who performs at their best every day.

NEW: FAST series

Function meets style: With the new FAST Series, ATLAS presents a sporty, lightweight safety shoe line that takes design, comfort and performance to a new level. The three models in White, Black and Green are aimed at anyone who is on the move a lot in their everyday working life and values a modern look and urban design.

One highlight is the shoe upper made from REPREVE® polyester, which already caused a stir at A+A 2023 with the first ATLAS Recycling Safety Shoe. The 92 per cent recycled PET upper material with a sock-like structure combines modern design with maximum functionality. It impresses with its ultra-light weight, ensures a pleasantly carefree feel and, thanks to its special structure, enables optimum air circulation - for noticeable freshness all day long. The permanently breathable material technology ensures a constantly pleasant foot climate, even under heavy strain. The Innoflex® sole system offers outstanding cushioning with every step, providing noticeable relief for feet and joints. The aluminium toe cap and XP® metal-free penetration resistance, which meet the highest standards in the S1P safety class, provide additional safety. The flexible monosock construction adapts precisely to the foot and contributes significantly to the high level of comfort.

FIT-DAY | New concepts for (digital) foot health

The FIT-DAY area in the ATLAS Area was a magnet for visitors at A+A 2025. The innovative concept is aimed at companies that want to actively integrate the topic of foot health into their day-to-day operations. The ATLAS FIT-DAY offers four practice-orientated modules that can be booked individually or as a complete package - directly on site at the company. Ten product experts are travelling throughout Germany with the FIT truck, which stopped off at the A+A trade fair this week.

The first module is dedicated to foot measurement and analysis using the latest 3D scanner technology. The XXL foot model provided vivid insights, allowing visitors to literally "grasp" the foot geometry at the stand. The second module, the Comfort solution, is based on the tried-and-tested ERGO-MED insoles, which are specifically designed for different foot malpositions. The Comfort Plus solution in the third module makes customisation even easier: at the innovative flowmould station, the FIT INSOLE can be semi-orthopaedically adapted to the most personal footbed in just four minutes. In the fourth module, the medical-orthopaedic solution, ATLAS presents its collaboration with partner company GetSteps. ATLAS has held shares in GetSteps since 2024, which has significantly strengthened the orthopaedic insole supply for safety shoes. ATLAS is also working on other future-oriented solutions:

NEW: 3D ERGO MAX insole | Future outlook 2026

ATLAS provided a first glimpse of a digital innovation for 2026: The ERGO MAX insole is an orthopaedic insole using a 3D printing process and marks the next step in digital, individualised foot care. Made from a specially developed TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), the insole is created in an additive manufacturing process that enables maximum precision and flexibility. The foamed TPU material contains microscopically small air cells that ensure outstanding cushioning properties and reduce the weight of the insole by around 20 to 30 per cent. Thanks to the variable infill structure, the geometry can be customised - from soft to firm, depending on the medical indication. This means that the cushioning, height and reinforcement can be customised specifically for complaints such as heel spurs, knee or back problems.

The ERGO MAX insole therefore enables highly customised and - thanks to 3D printing - reproducible treatment. The process also impresses with its sustainability: material waste is virtually zero and the reduced use of materials makes production particularly resource-efficient.

CI Solutions | ATLAS shoes with company logo

Safety meets individual character: with the new CI Solutions, ATLAS brings its customers' corporate identity directly to their feet. Companies now have the opportunity to customise their safety shoes - from logo placement to laces in their own corporate colours. This makes occupational safety a visible part of the brand identity.

More than just products: Expert Stage highlights people, brand and the future

ATLAS' presence at the trade fair centred on much more than just presenting innovative safety shoes. With the ATLAS Expert Stage, the company created a platform in 2023 where knowledge, experience and inspiration come together. This year, ATLAS brought together brand ambassadors, product experts and prominent guests from the worlds of sport, medicine and industry. The numerous highlights included talks and discussions with Jogi Bitter, national handball goalkeeper and ATLAS brand ambassador, Dr Matthias Manke, ATLAS orthopaedic surgeon and expert in occupational foot health, and Patrick Owomoyela, BVB, who spoke about team spirit and mental strength in everyday working life. Representatives from technology partners such as Gore-Tex and BOA provided insights into material innovations and modern fastening systems. The Expert Stage therefore not only offered product knowledge, but also practical insights into topics such as prevention, ergonomics, motivation and performance. With this format, ATLAS is emphasising its claim to help shape the PPE industry not only in terms of technology, but also in terms of content and people.
