ATLAS celebrates with the German national handball team!

The German national handball team wrote a piece of sporting history at the 2026 European Championships in Denmark. With outstanding team spirit, passion and a fight to the last second, the DHB team inspired the whole of Europe - and ATLAS was right in the thick of it as a proud main partner.

In the European Championship final against the hosts Denmark, the team won the silver medal in front of 15,000 spectators and millions of enthusiastic fans in front of their screens after a thrilling match - the greatest German handball success in ten years! Another milestone that shows: Germany is back at the top of Europe.

In addition to top sporting performances, ATLAS & the DHB team also achieved record ratings off the pitch: 7.96 million people watched the semi-final against Croatia with an impressive market share of 40.3 per cent. Germany was also thrilled by the final against Denmark: TV ratings reached a new high with 12.82 million viewers and a market share of 50.8 per cent, underlining the huge appeal of German handball. Thanks to the enormous media reach, we were able to achieve unique visibility and brand presence as the main partner with our logo prominently displayed on the jerseys.

"The passion and team spirit with which the DHB men have inspired Europe reflect exactly the values that ATLAS stands for.
We are proud to be the main partner of this team and to celebrate this success together!" says Hendrik Schabsky, CEO of ATLAS.

We would like to thank the entire DHB team for the thrilling matches, sporting highlights and many emotional moments. We look forward with confidence and enthusiasm to the future together and to the 2027 home World Cup!

ATLAS is the new main partner of the DHB

Dortmund, 17 December 2024 - The German Handball Federation is looking to the future with confidence and stability. The new main partnership with ATLAS starts on 1 January 2025. The DHB, which is based in Dortmund, and the family-owned company, which is also based in the Westphalian metropolis, have agreed to work together for the next three years.

Hendrik Schabsky, CEO of ATLAS, and DHB CEO Mark Schober recently signed the partnership agreement at the Dortmund shoe factory. "We share a common path," says Hendrik Schabsky. "The DHB has made impressive progress in recent years - with over 760,000 members and a steadily increasing relevance of handball, not least due to the Women's and Men's World Championships. This development fits perfectly with our own values: continuous commitment and consistency. Especially in the coming year, in which we will be celebrating our 115th anniversary, we see our partnership with the DHB as a strong sign of our shared visions and successes."

This will address aspects such as internationality, digitalisation and sustainability. However, the focus is initially on a successful start to 2025 and the sporting highlights.
