Meaning of the categories - EN ISO 20345: 2011

SB

All basic requirements of EN ISO 20345: 2011 are met.

 

S1

All basic requirements are met. The following additional requirements are also met: Closed heel area, antistatic, energy absorption capacity in the heel area, fuel resistance.

 

S1P

Is equipped with a penetration-resistant midsole and meets all basic requirements according to EN ISO 20345: 2011 S1.

 

S2

All basic and additional requirements according to S1 are met. The following additional requirements are also met: Water penetration and water absorption

 

S3

All basic and additional requirements according to S2 are met; and is also equipped with a penetration-resistant midsole and an outsole with tread.
