ATLAS CELLO AUTUMN

The Cello Autumn on the Hellweg always impresses with the variety of its programme. Anyone expecting only classical concerts is wrong here. The cello is presented in all its diversity: with tango, pop and rock, jazz, chamber music from Bach to Beethoven and Brahms to contemporary music, solo, chamber music and with orchestra. Every year, the ATLAS shoe factory is also the venue for a concert with a unique industrial ambience.

LA FINESSE String Quartet

A magical journey through classical music, rock & pop

Combining classical music with the musical tastes of our time in an inimitable way - and all with distinctive arrangements and concentrated female power! This is the concept of the string players of LA FINESSE.

LA FINESSE took the audience into a magical world of music that says more than a thousand words. It knows how to evoke emotions and touch the soul like no other language. It is the language of the heart. LA FINESSE also demonstrated its love of music in its new concert programme and took the audience on an impressive evening.

Bold and multi-faceted, they put the musical legacy of great composers such as Brahms, Mozart and Beethoven into a new context, bridging the gap between epochs and title tunes from cinema and TV - an emotional sound experience in a class of its own.

TANGO NIGHT

The "Ensemble Contrabajando", solo cellist Marta Espirito Santo and the dance duo "Katja y Christian" conjured up the atmosphere of the Brazilian and Argentinian metropolises of Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires for an evening at the ATLAS Schuhfabrik on Saturday evening (18 October) at the "Tango Night" with their interpretation of music by the Latin American composers Astor Piazolla and Antonio Carlos Jobim.

The border crossers took the audience on a journey across the South American continent. Creativity and joie de vivre took precedence
over stylistic pigeonholing, joy of playing and catchy melodies of virtuoso perfection. It was only after three encores that it was over! Shouts of bravo and rhythmic applause confirmed that the venue and concert were exceptional at this evening's Cello Autumn Concert.
