Because open communication is key to healthy collaboration, we encourage anyone to address any difficulties directly so that we can resolve them together. This can be done either directly or with the help of internal mediators. We have designed our Code of Conduct in line with our values and clearly communicated our expectations so that all employees adhere to it. If this is not successful, both employees and external partners have the option of using our in-house complaints mechanism.
Complaints about serious violations of legal and internal company rules can be submitted in the following areas:
• Corruption/bribery
• Competition offences/violations of antitrust law
• Theft/fraud
• Violations of data protection regulations
• Discrimination/harassment/bullying
• Money laundering
• Conflicts of interest
• Human rights/occupational health and safety
The mechanism is linked to the ATLAS website, where reports of potential compliance violations can be submitted anonymously. The reports are automatically forwarded to an external ombudsman, who checks the complaints for credibility. If necessary, he contacts the person making the report to obtain further information. At the request of the person concerned, he then organises a joint meeting with all relevant parties. Employees were informed about this complaints mechanism by post, but no complaints were received through this channel in 2023. We will continue to draw attention to the complaints mechanism in staff appraisals and on our employee app.
